The magnetic flaw detectors DA 750 and DA 1500 produce powerful alternating and constant fields for magnetic particle flaw detection. An alternating electromagnetic field is used to detect surface defects. It is also used to demagnetize a controlled part.
The rectified constant field is used to detect subsurface defects. The output current of a magnetic flaw detector is adjustable from 0 to the maximum value. Changes in the output current are displayed on the ammeter located on the front panel of the instrument. The effective value of the output current depends on the cross-section and cable length.
The cables are equipped with special contactors for circular magnetization by passing current through the part. Special cables can also be wound in the form of a coil on the test piece for longitudinal magnetization. A special trolley is delivered for transportation of DA 1500 in workshop conditions.
