AGFA NDT-U is a versatile machine designed to process medium-sized films (up to 5 meters long).
The design of AGFA NDT-U is based on the classic design of roller type machines and includes three tanks (for developing, fixing and washing) and a dryer. The film is transported by a system of rollers in such a way that it passes successively through these three tanks and the dryer. The rollers are driven by the engine through a retard gear. The guides direct the film from one roll to another.
In each bathtub, which is placed in a separate rack and can be replaced, the film passes a U-shaped path. The transition of the film from one bath to another is carried out using a replaceable guide system. The direction and bending of the film during the transition between the rollers occurs with the help of guide plates, and the film touches these plates only a small part of the area.
The developing and fixing tanks are continuously in motion, and the temperature in them is maintained constantly with the help of a thermostat.
In the wash tub, the running water constantly moves as soon as the film gets there. The temperature of the water is controlled by heat transfer through the developer and (or) fixer. All these operations are fully automated.
The fixer tank has its own heating element, which significantly reduces the warm-up time of the fixer. Such temperature control ensures the safety of the film during archiving.
Infrared dryer ensures complete drying of images; at the same time its heat emission is minimal. Thus, an optimum working temperature in the photo lab is achieved.
The AGFA NDT-U developing machine is set for an 8-minute time cycle.
Depending on the type of film, the receiving tray can be adapted to both the roll film and the sheet film.
