The portable X-ray device ARINA-3 is used as a budget solution for scanning the welds of main pipelines and metal products in difficult field conditions. When used in conjunction with a power source on rechargeable batteries, the X-ray unit ARINA-3 is a portable mobile complex that allows for x-ray photography on a roll and cassette film.
ARINA devices are adapted for operation with significant changes in ambient temperature. Working conditions with instruments: UHL1 according to GOST 15150-69. To reduce the exposure time (and as a result, increase the real life of the X-ray tube) during the shooting is recommended to use metal fluorescent screens.
Features of the x-ray device ARINA-3:
The features of using ARINA devices (ARINA-1, ARINA-3, ARINA-7, ARINA-9) are as follows: firstly, devices of this type, having significantly smaller dimensions and weight in relation to constant-action devices, have lower average power X-ray radiation, and, secondly, they can not be adjusted neither current nor voltage. These circumstances indicate the choice of the most optimal conditions for their use.
When carrying out non-destructive testing using pulsed X-ray machines ARINA, it should be noted that the built-in protection against overheating of the high-voltage unit, due to design features, does not give one hundred percent guarantee of the correct observance of operating cycles (work / rest) of the X-ray tube in automatic mode. In order to avoid premature failure of the equipment, we strongly recommend to strictly observe the operating modes of the x-ray emitter specified in the passport of the device.
All x-ray devices ARINA are protected from the supply voltage of reverse polarity, which is important when using an autonomous power source. It is clear that the polarity must be observed, but in the case of an incorrect connection to the source, the power supply to the internal circuits will not be supplied. When working on AC power, the devices must be grounded, so the use of a three-pole outlet is mandatory. When connecting a remote control panel, you should pay attention to the quality of the connectors of high-voltage cable connectors. And although ARINA devices have protection against the total absence of load, if the cable is not tightly connected, an arc may appear at the point of disconnection of the contact connection during radiator operation. In this situation, the protection circuit will not be able to de-energize the emitter.
When working with devices, it is recommended to use AGFA F8 X-ray film and RCF-AGFA screens.
For frontal scanning, the XRS-AP collimator is recommended. The collimator limits the solid angle of radiation, reducing the negative impact of scattered x-rays on the active layer of the x-ray film.
Some details of the circuitry of devices of the ARINA series:
There are several types of high-voltage nanosecond generators. The most widely used of these are the Arkadiev-Marx generators, used in ARINA devices. In them, there is a fast parallel connection of several capacitors, which are preliminarily slowly charged, and in a series connection they almost instantaneously discharge through Tesla resonant transformers, built on a system of two coupled oscillatory circuits. In both generators, their main element is the gas switch, which ensures the launch of high-voltage circuits.
Manufacturer's warranty:
The warranty period is 12 months from the date of commissioning, but not more than 18 months from the date of shipment from the factory. Warranty repairs are carried out by the equipment manufacturer or an authorized service center.
